Etsy LogoDo you know about Etsy?  Etsy is social commercial website that allows sellers to post their handmade or vintage items as well as art and craft supplies – and then buyers can buy them!

Items for sale include everything from photography to clothing, jewelry, cat toy products, cat towers and more!

I first became interested in Etsy in the realm of cats through the Moderncat.net blog.  Of course, if you read our Interview with Kate Benjamin of Moderncat.net, then you know she now has her own Etsy store, ModernCat Studio.  Kate also features her Etsy favorites.

I enjoy seeing all the different things people come up for kitties, so I am going to start featuring Etsy crafters on my site on Fridays.  The first interview with an Etsy crafter will be next Friday, April 23, 2010.  Floppycats.com reader, Christina, who owns Teddy, suggested this one.  So stay tuned (you can always get Floppycats.com posts through e-mail by entering your e-mail in the upper right hand corner of this blog and then hit “subscribe”.  Be sure to verify your subscription when you get a confirmation e-mail.  Contact us if you have troubles).

If you love an Etsy artist and you’d like to read an Interview with them, please either post a comment below or contact us with their information. Please keep in mind that the Etsy artist has to do something related to kitties, of course, for them to be featured on our site.

If you are an Etsy artist that features cats in some way or another, please comment below or contact us with your information and we will get the questions out to you.
