This is my first foray into white background minimalist work.  Abby is a gorgeous Ragdoll, from Ragnificent Ragdolls, but this treatment really makes her eyes pop, and makes for a clean and simple image. It is accomplished by using a white surface, then over exposing the background. I’ll take some pictures of the setup, and include them in a future post.

Does Your Cat Drink From The Toilet?

When Charlie and Trigg, as well as my parents' cat, Murphy, were on dry food, they were interested in drinking from the toilet. Now that they are off of dry food, they are no longer interested.

[...] Abby loves to play “Monster Under The Blanket”.  This image was taken speedlite on camera flash, using bounced flash, and a bounce card.  The light that bounces off of the ceiling is very soft, and eliminates shadows.  The bounce card redirects some of the flash directly at the subject for catch lights.
